SET of 3 TEA CUPS (Tea Bowls), soda-fired porcelain

Soda firing is a vapour-glazing processes where  soda ash (sodium carbonate), or baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) is introduced into the kiln at a high temperature. The soda vaporizes, and sodium binds to the silica in the clay surface, forming a hard, glassy glaze with varying colours and textures. 

This small batch series are from from Spring 2025,  glazed with a classic tenmoku "tea dust" glaze with powdered green highlights, touched also by smoky grey of the soda vapour, and creating a beautiful crackle in some places.
