STORAGE BOX - Verdant Green Crackle (hand built)

Hand-built ceramic lidded box, raku-fired with clear / white crackle glaze lining inside.  Food safe but not water-proof.  

Raku firing is quick and lower temperature firing, resulting in beautiful variable surface colours but leaving the clay body porous and therefore not fit for holding water or liquids.  The clear crackle glaze inside makes it food safe, and therefore fit for storing tea, coffee, herbs or other dried goods.
