About

Hi, I'm Jasmine

I am a doctor of Chinese medicine, a potter and a designer of restoration-based, school and community gardens.   I grew up with herbal medicine and have been practicing for 20 years.  I have a doctorate in Chinese medicine, a private practice, and have published and taught about East Asian medicine and issues around sustainability.  I founded the Chinese Herb Garden non-profit project to support the sustainable use of Asian medicine flora.

The Tea Garden was born seeking high quality, organic East Asian botanicals and drawing on the combined wisdom of text transmission and lineage practice, including the kitchen wisdom traditions of using medicinal herbs in food .

I discovered East Asian medicine first through the practice of taiji (tai chi) and subsequently through healing a repetitive stress injury using acupuncture and herbal medicine.  East Asian medicine and it's broader cosmological and physiological understanding continue to support me and my family mentally, emotionally, and physically.
