TONIFY TEA

TONIFY TEA (Si Jun Zi Tang 四君子汤) is a traditional Chinese herbal formula that has been used for centuries to strengthen the Spleen (digestion) and Qi.

Today, Si Jun Zi Tang is widely used in traditional Chinese medicine and is often prescribed to:

• improve digestion  [1]
• boost energy levels for fatigue [2]
• strengthen the immune system [1]

INGREDIENTS:
Rén Shēn 人參 Panax ginseng (Asian Ginseng)
Bái Zhú 白术 Atractylodis macrocephalae 
Fú Líng 茯苓 Poria cocos
Zhì Gān Căo 炙甘草  Glycyrrhiza uralensis

HISTORICAL SOURCE TEXT: 
The formula was first recorded in the Song dynasty (960-1279) in the book "Tai Ping Hui Min He Ji Ju Fang" (太平惠民和剂局方) and was later elaborated on in the "Yi Xue Zhong Zhong Can Xi Lu" (医学中中参西录) by the physician Zhu Danxi during the Yuan dynasty (1271-1368).

In source text, the formula is recommended for tonifying the Spleen and Qi, important in traditional Chinese medicine for supporting overall energy, digestion, health and wellbeing.
