Fire Horse MUG - light (no.3)

I made this set of mugs in honour of the Year of the Fire Horse, using Grolleg porcelain—an ultra-white kaolin clay from Cornwall, England—finished with a glossy clear glaze inside and out for a luminous, refined surface. 

I created a silkscreen from a horse image inspired by Chinese papercutting tradition, hand-printed it onto rice paper, and then transferred it onto wet clay. 

The Fire Horse year speaks to intensity and movement—horses as herd animals driven by action and momentum, yet also alert and sensitive..
